EXPERIENCE:
With 39 years of Structural Engineering
expertise, Mr. Hamnett has co-founded Harrison-Hamnett, P.C.,
Consulting Engineers. As Principal-in-Charge of Educational,
Institutional and New Building projects, he is responsible for
client communication, fee structures, proposal development and
supervision of his projects including project design, drafting
and delivery.
In his career, Mr. Hamnett has managed and
completed institutional projects in excess of 300,000 square
feet. While functioning as Structural Engineer and Chief
Structural Engineer for the Architectural firms of Micklewright
and Mountford Architects and Hamnett, Bouman and Blanche
Architects, in Trenton, New Jersey, he was in charge of the
Structural Engineering Department. Specializing in the design
of educational facilities, his responsibilities included the
supervision of structural design, field work, completion of
drafting, preparation of design documents and specifications.
With his many years of expertise, he has
completed numerous Commercial, Industrial, Retail and
Institutional structural design projects. His project expertise
widened when he joined Weiner and Thaler, Consulting Engineers,
in Newark, as Project Engineer for various educational,
industrial and governmental buildings. As Project Engineer and
then Principal at Blackburn Engineering Associates, he
diversified into Commercial, Retail and Industrial projects. As
Principal, Mr. Hamnett was responsible sharing in overall
project and company management.
