EXPERIENCE:
As co-founder of Harrison-Hamnett, P.C.,
Consulting Engineers, Mr. Harrison is Principal-in-Charge of
Historic Restoration Projects and shares design responsibilities
for commercial, institutional, residential and industrial
projects.
While gaining his 25 years of experience,
Mr. Harrison worked on various project types, including
commercial, residential and institutional. As Project Engineer
with Dudley Williams Associates, Structural Engineers in
Wichita, Kansas, he was in charge of both the structural design
and the drafting for his projects. In 1981, he joined Blackburn
Engineering as Project Engineer, where he managed structural
design, field supervision, client communication and supervised
the drafting for all of his projects. Mr. Harrison became a
Principal at Blackburn Engineering in 1986 and shared ownership
interest in the firm which included sharing in overall project
and company management.
Historical Restorations and Renovations
projects are of particular interest to Mr. Harrison. His
expertise in Historical Preservation spans commercial,
institutional and residential buildings. He maintains an
understanding of older structures and techniques to creatively
develop structural detailing to restore the buildings.
