EXPERIENCE:
As Project Engineer at Harrison-Hamnett,
P.C., Mr. Venezia is responsible for Structural Engineering
Projects from conception and design development through
construction and project completion. Besides his engineering
duties, Mr. Venezia also is involved in business development for
the company.
Mr. Venezia maintains 16 years of
experience in the Engineering field and construction industry.
As a Design Engineer, he has been responsible for the analysis,
design and construction coordination for new and renovated
educational, commercial, residential and industrial facilities.
In addition, his skills include structural investigations and
surveys resulting in written reports on structural conditions,
preparation of structural and architectural drawings, bid
packages, scheduling and field inspections.
Prior to joining Harrison-Hamnett, P.C.,
Consulting Engineers, Mr. Venezia was a Principal Engineer with
CE&IC, Consulting Engineers, where he was responsible for
multi-discipline engineering project management on commercial,
industrial, and pharmaceutical projects.
In addition to his usual structural design
responsibilities at Harrison-Hamnett, structures utilizing Fiber
Reinforced Plastics (FRP) as structural elements are of interest
to Mr. Venezia. His expertise in the use of FRP as a structural
material spans commercial, institutional and residential
structures. In addition to engineering and detailing for FRP
architectural components of a building’s facade (cornices,
domes, custom wall panels, etc...), his project experience also
includes the use of FRP as a structural material in structures
concealing cellular transmission antennae for the
telecommunications industry.
